As a Hume Bank member, you agree to be bound by our Constitution and may choose to receive notices of meetings of members of Hume Bank (for example Hume Bank's Annual General Meeting ‘AGM’) via email or post. Meeting notices are also published in the newspaper, available via Hume Bank's website and displayed in all Hume Bank branches at least 21 days prior to the meeting date.
Common matters considered at Hume Bank's Annual General Meeting include confirmation of the minutes of the prior years’ meeting, noting of the Annual Financial Reports of Hume Bank, election of Directors and any proposed changes to Hume Bank's Constitution.
Attendance at meetings enables members to:
- Participate in the governance of Hume Bank;
- Ask questions about the management of Hume Bank, its financial standing and performance;
- Ask Hume Bank's auditor questions about the conduct of the audit and the preparation and content of the auditor's report; and
- Vote on any proposal to amend Hume Bank's Constitution or on any other matter in relation to the management of Hume Bank.
If you are entitled to attend and cast a vote at a meeting, but are unable to attend a meeting, you may appoint a proxy to attend and vote on your behalf. Information on appointing a proxy is contained in Hume Bank's Constitution and included in meeting notices.
You may also choose to receive a copy of Hume Bank's Annual Financial Reports and / or Annual Members’ report (“annual reports”) via email or post.
These annual reports set out information around the financial position and performance of Hume Bankthe efficiency with which Hume Bank is being managed, and the financial risks to which Hume Bank is exposed. Copies are also made available via all Hume Bank branches and on our website at www.humebank.com.au.
If you do not notify us within 21 days of being given this notice that you choose to receive meeting notices and / or copies of the annual reports, Hume Bank will not be required to give these to you.
