This year’s Life Tech Challenge has seen an incredible amount of innovation come in from this region. With such a competitive line-up of submissions, we are pleased to announce that Ashley Dunn, Sidney Duncan-Steel and Damian Watson have been selected as our top three finalists for this year’s Life Tech Challenge.
They will be presenting their ideas at the TAFEspace in Wodonga on Thursday 27 September 2018. The finalist’s ideas cover a diverse range of categories including, lifestyle and well-being, finance and engineering software.
Guests will hear from the up and coming innovators as they present their ideas to a judging panel of experts. The competition winner will take away $10,000 and a 12 month mentorship. Whilst the Rising Star, to be announced on the night, will take away a $2,000 cash prize to further their ideation development.
The expert judging panel includes; Jennifer Weller owner director of Creativeworkz, Xavier Mardling – Editor at The Border Mail, Rebecca Litton of Litton Legal and Hume Bank Chief Executive Officer, Stephen Capello.
The judges will provide mentorship to the major prize winner to help them with their idea execution. Finalists will be judged on their innovation and creativity, use of technology and impact on people.
In preparation the challenge, Director of Creativeworkz and Life Tech judge Jennifer Weller, facilitated two Ideation Workshops. The aim of the workshops being to help the aspiring innovators of our community harness their ideas and get submission ready.
All finalists will also have the opportunity to attend an Innovation Boot Camp at Charles Sturt University’s (CSU) Thurgoona Campus to be held in October.
