Hume’s Clancy Koala Account has won the Mozo Experts Choice Award in the Kids Bonus Rate Saving Account category.
The Mozo Experts Choice Awards recognises Australia’s best value financial products that offer the best value to Australian consumers.
72 Australian financial institutions were rated in the 2016 Mozo Expert Choice Awards, including the big four banks. Mozo’s expert research team evaluates all products based on rate, fee, features and real reviews from customers, awarding products that offer the best financial value.
“This award is one that we are very proud to win,” shared David Marshall CEO Hume Bank. “We seek to provide excellent children’s and youth accounts and to educate them on money matters. It is tremendous to be acknowledged nationally as doing an outstanding job.”
Hume’s Clancy Koala savings account is a fee free account available for children 11 years and under with the ability to earn bonus interest. It’s designed so that parents retain control of the funds while their children watch their money grow with their very own passbook.
“We also go out to schools and talk to the students about money, there are over 2,600 students and 49 schools participating in Hume’s school banking program. Hume continually looks at ways we can engage children with money matters and teach them financial life skills,” said Mr. Marshall.
Hume Bank encourages good saving habits by holding competitions with prizes once children make 8 deposits in a term on their savings chart which is available in their Junior Saver Club Activity Book that they receive each year.
