Hume Bank announces the launch of its Active Bands, a wearable payment device that links directly to your transaction account. The launch activities will coincide with the Hume Bank City2City Run/Walk.
This payment technology is designed to fit your lifestyle providing you with greater flexibility and convenience. It works like a Visa Debit card, as it contains a Visa PayWave chip. Simply strap this technology to your wrist, and tap it on any terminal that accepts PayWave to make a payment.
“We’re excited to give our customers greater flexibility in the way they make payments. Providing our customer’s choice and allowing them to do their banking where, when and how they wish is of utmost importance,” shared Andrew de Graaff Chief Customer Officer at Hume Bank. As founding sponsor of the Hume Bank City2City Run/Walk, the event is the perfect place to use a Hume Active Band. Michelle Hudson, co-founder of the cross-border run/walk said it’s great that the community have the opportunity to use Hume Active Bands at this year’s event.
“Participants wearing the active bands can use it after the event to support Albury and Wodonga CBD businesses by having a shop, grabbing a coffee or meeting friends for brunch without the need for them to carry a wallet or phone on the course,” said Mrs. Hudson.
Customers will have the convenience of managing the Active Band via the Hume App, where they can set their pin, lock, unlock, cancel or report lost or stolen.
“People’s lifestyles are changing and it’s important that Hume remains relevant to its customers. At Hume, we’re seeking to meet these needs with the right technologies and the best face to face customer service,” said Mr. de Graaff.
Customers can get their hands on a Hume Active Band when they sign up for an Essential Account from Monday 5 February 2018. Visit humebank.com.au/active for more information.
