Registrations for the 2018 Albury Wodonga Big Splash will be open on Thursday 11th
January 2018!
This community event, sponsored by Hume Bank, is organised to raise awareness for youth mental health issues and much needed funds for Albury Wodonga headspace and the Survivors of Suicide (& Friends) organisation.
This year will be the 5th Big Splash with a program that comprises a series of swimming relay races for all sectors of the community, including corporate and small business, sporting clubs, families, local celebrities and many more, designed to bring people together for some fun, entertainment and friendly competition.
Big Splash organiser Stephen Mamouney ‐ “2018 is the 5th Albury Wodonga Big Splash and it has been a huge success, particularly in terms of the level of engagement from the community and in raising awareness for mental health. Team entries have been sold out each year, you don’t have to be a swimmer to be involved, most of the events are just for fun and we have loads of prizes many thanks to the generosity of local business. A feature of the Big Splash are the costumes that swimmers and their support teams dress up in for the evening, it is a real carnival atmosphere. We have introduced two new race formats this year to keep things interesting, so we urge people to jump online for more information, follow us on face book and enter via the website as early as possible”.
It is guaranteed to be a fun evening with a host of local entertainment as well as good food and prizes to be won.
The 5th Albury Wodonga Big Splash event takes place at the Albury Swim Centre on Wednesday, 7th March 2018 commencing at 5pm.
