A large number of Hume Bank staff will be participating in the 2016 City2City Run/Walk and are encouraging families, friends, clubs and neighbours to get involved in support of our local health services.
Hume Bank is the founding naming sponsor of the City2City and will have a large presence at the start and finish line at the local iconic event. A water station will be set up at the starting line to provide participants with sunscreen and drink bottles to take on the course with them.
A Hume Bank ‘Chill out zone’ will also be set up at the finishing line offering exhausted runners and walkers somewhere to rest their legs and get out of the sun. Couches, iced water, fruit and lollies will aid those in need of a well-deserved rest.
In addition to Hume’s monetary donation, providing volunteers and bringing the new ‘chill out zone’ to the event, the Hume team will also be running the course led by Hume’s CEO David Marshall.
“We recognise that the community has helped us grow into who we are today. Hume has recently achieved a handful of key initiatives and milestones and we have the community to thank for that. We are always proud to be able to return the favour, with a long history of supporting grassroots organisations and helping them to achieve their vision,” shared Mr Marshall.
“Hume’s support of the City2City Run/Walk is just one way we are giving back to the local community, but it’s an important way. Hume is passionate about the City2City and its purpose and that’s why we are putting the Hume name behind this local event again for the second year in a row,” explained Mr Marshall.
Make sure you have your running shoes ready, registrations close at 5pm on Saturday the 20th of February.
