Hume Bank will host a special lunch with former CEO of the Commonwealth Bank and former inaugural Chairman of the Australian Future Fund, David Murray AO on Tuesday 29 November in Wagga.
Mr. Murray spent 39 years at the Commonwealth Bank of Australia (CBA) holding the role of Chief Executive Officer for the last 13 of those years until his retirement. His leadership of the Commonwealth Bank gives him a unique perspective on both strategic and operational leadership, change management and effective cultures.
Mr. Murray will share key insights on the finance and banking sector along with national and local impacts on the economy.

Mr. Murray was Chairman of the Australian Future Fund, the Fund’s objective is to invest budget surpluses to meet the long-term pension liabilities of government employees and take the pressure off the budget from an ageing population.
Mr. Murray was also appointed to head the Government's inquiry into Australia's financial system which made recommendations to foster an efficient, competitive and flexible financial system, consistent with financial stability, prudence, integrity and fair treatment.

The lunch will be held at the International Hotel Wagga Wagga, tickets are $30 with all proceeds going to Country Hope. Tickets can be purchased at one of Hume’s Banks Wagga branches, located at Baylis St, Kooringal Mall and Southcity.
