Hume Bank Ltd (‘Hume’) is an Authorised Deposit-Taking Institution (‘ADI’) supervised by the Australian Prudential Regulation Authority (‘APRA’) under the Banking Act 1959. Hume is also supervised by the Australian Securities and Investments Commission (‘ASIC’), Australian Transaction & Reports Analysis Centre (‘AUSTRAC’) and other government agencies.

Hume’s corporate governance framework has been developed to support Hume’s customer focused operations while providing clear guidance on how authority is exercised within Hume, including Board oversight of key controls. The Board, with the assistance of the Audit and Remuneration and Succession Committees, determines the most appropriate corporate governance practices.
Board delegations and board / committee charters are regularly reviewed.
