How does the $30 cash bonus work?
Open a new Essential Transaction Account during the promotion period and deposit $1,000 or more each month from your salary, wage or pension. When you meet the monthly deposit requirement, you’ll receive a $30 cash bonus for that month, up to $150 in total during the promotion.
When does the promotion run?
The promotion runs from TBC March 2026 until 31 July 2026.
Who is eligible for the offer?
The offer is available to new and existing Hume Bank customers who open a new Essential Transaction Account during the promotion period.
Hume Bank staff, contractors and their immediate families are not eligible.
What deposits qualify?
To receive the monthly bonus, you’ll need to deposit at least $1,000 in a calendar month into your new Essential Transaction Account from an eligible payer, such as:
- Your employer (salary or wages)
- A government agency (such as pension payments)
- A superannuation fund
Transfers from your own accounts or other personal accounts don’t qualify.
When will I receive the $30 bonus?
If you meet the monthly deposit requirement, your $30 cash bonus will be paid into your Essential Transaction Account within five business days after the end of that month.
How many bonuses can I receive?
You can receive $30 for each month you meet the requirements, up to a maximum of $150 during the promotion period.
Are joint accounts eligible?
Yes. Joint Essential Transaction Accounts are eligible. However, joint account holders are treated as one customer, so only one bonus per account per month will be paid.
