APRA Approves Merger with Geelong Bank

APRA has approved our merger with Geelong Bank – an important regulatory milestone as we work toward creating one of regional Australia’s strongest customer-owned banks.

What’s Happened

The Australian Prudential Regulation Authority (APRA) has completed its review and approved the merger proposal. This confirms that the merger meets all regulatory requirements and is structured appropriately.

What’s Next

Geelong Bank members will vote on the merger at their Special General Meeting. Subject to member approval, we’ll move forward with integration planning.
