Hume Bank appoints Patricia Montague to its Board of Directors

Patricia has over 30 years of Senior Management experience in the Banking and Financial Services sector and brings transformational leadership, risk governance and commercial acumen gained from working in ASX100 companies.

This includes over 17 years with the Commonwealth Bank of Australia where she was a member of the Retail Bank Leadership team and held various roles across Retail and Business Banking, including as the Head of Retail Bank Transformation.

Her executive career spanned strategic, transformation, product, innovation, operational and advisory roles and included the design of customer-first strategies for first-home buyers, day-to-day banking, affluent and small business customers.

Patricia’s governance experience includes Board and Council Membership of the Financial Services Council and the Association of Superannuation Funds Australia.

Patricia is currently a non-executive director at TRM, Trustee Board for Russell Investments Australia’s superannuation funds, where she is the Chair of the Member Experience Committee, Member of the Remuneration and Nominations Committee and Member of the Audit, Risk and Compliance Committees.

Growing up in a small rural town in Ireland, and with strong family ties to the Snowy Mountains, Patricia has an affinity with regional and local communities and understands the importance local banking plays in serving the needs of family, friends, and the community.

Patricia is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors GAICD and Australian Institute of Superannuation Trustees GAIST.
