About the Role
Hume Bank is seeking applications from suitably experienced individuals to join the Board as a Non-Executive Director. This is a paid appointment, offered initially for a three-year term.
Joining an existing team of experienced Non-Executive Directors, you will help shape the strategic direction of Hume Bank and ensuring that the appropriate governance obligations are being met.

About you
- We are looking for individuals who:
hold Membership of Australian Institute of Company Directors (AICD) (or an equivalent) and can become a graduate within two years of appointment - have prior experience as a Non-Executive Director, including an understanding of the role of a Non-Executive Director, as well as the legal, ethical, fiduciary, and financial responsibilities that apply
- have deep and sustained personal connection to Hume Bank Home Markets and the wider local community in which we serve, including currently residing in the region
- have a demonstrated understanding of regional economic and socio-cultural context to contribute to key strategic decisions
- have demonstrated experience and track record in a professional capacity that illustrates strong financial acumen in order to effectively contribute to the future strategic direction of and assist with corporate governance requirements of Hume Bank
- demonstrate key competencies and personal attributes, per the position description
For this appointment, experience in the banking or financial services sectors would be valued but is not mandatory.
